Security Problem at Vale Health Center

Posted by xaviervir on July 18, 2011

The following incident was reported to the blog by Jorgen Nielsen:
I am deeply concerned about an event that “seemingly” occurred about 3-4 weeks ago at Vale Health Care Center, San Pablo, CA., a nursing home with 200 residents, but i have yet to hear, see nor read anything about it anywhere on your site or news publications or ?

At the above location, a male walked into Vale at 3am (no security guards then nor now), proceeds to (apparently) walk into a room and begins to attempt pulling the rings off a 94 year old woman, then beating her on her head and face nearly killing her….and…..walks out.
No one seems to “know” anything about this, patients or families. but the next day, the administrator restricts visiting hours from nothing to 11am to 8pm and now has a “sitter” at the womans bed all night.

I only know of this by chance, since i saw the lady in her wheelchair black and blue in her face and stopped in shock to ask what happened.

What is going on here if no one seems to know anything?….or maybe does not want to know

Security is still a problem at Vale! They may have improved security for a day or two after this incident, but today there is basically ‘no real ‘security.  No one is checking on the people entering or leaving the center.
