San Pablo Talk Back

San Pablo, California

  • Our Purpose

This blog is for us, the people of San Pablo and guests, to share information and concerns about our city, our government, our schools, our neighborhoods, our businesses, our religious centers, and any and all issues we deem important. It is also for us to ‘talk back’ to each other and government about the issues and questions that concern us. We commit to be respectful of each other. There is much we can accomplish working together.

In the last few weeks, I’ve noticed Sheriff Deputies pulling over San Pablo residents and giving them traffic citations. I’ve seen this on (3) three different occasions.  I asked the City Manager if this was legal.  He spoke with our San Pablo Chief of Police and was told that Sheriff deputies and even Richmond police officers while driving through San Pablo have the authority to pull over a driver should they see a traffic violation and they  choose to act on it.  In my 50 plus years living in San Pablo, I’ve never before seen a Sheriff’s  Deputy pull over a San Pablo resident.  SO -SAN PABLO PEOPLE BE ALERT!    IT SEEMS THE COURTS ARE LOOKING FOR MORE MONEY AND THEY’RE HAVING SHERIFF  DEPUTIES GIVING OUT MORE TICKETS!

Thanks for ‘heads up.’ This exploitation of low income people has got to stop. Ccisco will be dealing with it in Richmond in regards to police. Now the Sheriff’s Department? Are they doing this in Orinda? Lafayette? Or other high-income cities?
Come to CCisco meeting April 7th, 7 PM, St Mark’s Church, Richmond. Google it for directions. They have a plan. Perhaps we can use it in San Pablo.
